Here’s a quick and easy marinade for Tuna, or any other type of “meaty” fish you might like, i.e., Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, etc. These beautiful Yellowfin Tuna Steaks came from my neighbor, who’s an avid deep-sea fisherman, and takes excursions several times a year. I marinated them for a few hours, and grilled them.
They were a big hit with the fam. I served them with a simple mixed greens salad, with a homemade vinaigrette, and a Mediterranean style quinoa salad.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Fresh squeezed Orange JuiceĀ
1/4 cup Coconut Aminos (or Soy Sauce alternative)
2 Tbs. Olive Oil
2 Tbs. Fresh squeezed Lemon Juice
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried Parsley
1/4 tsp. Oregano
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
Directions:
Mix ingredients together pour over 2-4 Tuna Steaks in casserole dish, or gallon size zip lock bag. Marinate for at least 3 hrs., turning frequently. Grill on medium-high heat for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness of steaks.
